This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!
New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

| Anvil supported someone i cant recall. Might have been Slade actually.Possibly
Motorhead. What i remember about them is the singer fella(Lips) bein a bit of a
maddie, but good onstage. All decked out in leather strides and straps and
chains, with the flying V guitar slung down low. They also suffered from a
dreadful "support band mix" as many bands did. One decent album ive
heard. "Metal On Metal" being the best track IMHO !

| Anvil supported Motorhead on the 'Another Perfect Day' tour and for the first and
only time Motorhead were blown away by the support - why - Brian Robertson's refusal
to play any of the Motorhead classics. Still, I forgave Brian when he joined Frankie
Miller's band later on.

| I remember it well. Terrible Motorhead show but Anvil were a unusual novelty at the
time. Since it was so short we managed to catch the end of Chasars set at the Dial
Inn and then off to the Howff where we bumped into Lemmy and Lips. Nice guys, no bull
****** and happy to take photographs of each other with my camera.
