This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!
New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

| I was at that concert. I cannot remember the set list but I remember Gary holton, who
was the lead singer in the band (went on to appear in auf Wiedesehen Pet) climbing up
the speakers, calling the audience some bad names and challenging everyone to a
"square go". the crowd loved him and they went on to play at least 3
encores staying on stage for over an hour much to the annoyance of Heep. they then
played for about 3 hours and we didn't get out of the Apollo til nearly 1 am. What a
night - never bettered.

| I saw the Havy Metal Kids in 1973 supporting Uriah Heep. What an ego Gary Holton had,
telling the crowd he was a star cos he was on stage and challenging any hecklers. One
of the hecklers was my mate, worse for drink and not happy at the abuse from Holton.
If the boncers hadn't gently led my mate back to his seat (aye right), there would
have been a battle glorious. Brilliant night, brilliant band (and Heep were OK too.)
