And then he walked along the edge of the Circle

This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!

New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

Comments on Jackson Browne [reply]

My recollection of this was that the Apollow was particularly cold that night. JB made some sort of comment about the noise people were making flapping their arms to get warm.

Great night, the late great Warren Zevon was excellent.

I can confirm that it was bitterly cold.  I distinctly remember Jackson playing the whole of his set wearing a Royal Stewart scarf.

I also remember David Lindley trying to warm up the audience (and hall) by playing a number of reels on his fiddle.

Despite the cold, it was a gig to remember.

Yes - it sure was cold! So much so ,that the show was in doubt until the day (I was sure it was a Sunday bu the calendar shows Monday). I think it was unsure if the band would travel from Manchester(?) in time.

Yes, I remember the Royal Stewart scarf and the Lindley Reels but I don't remember Warren Zevon, sadly.
