| And then he walked along the edge of the Circle
This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!
New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

| Think it was the Electric Eye touri saw them on. Stage was a total wall of
amps,,,magic! When they started with Electric Eye,,,,,the band were all there but
i couldnt see big Rob. He was sitting or standing up on some of the amp stacks in
the full oervy gear,,and was invisible til he moved. Good gig!

| Saw them every tour from 80 onwards - they always tore the roof off the Apollo,
although Rob's pudding bowl Tim Brooke-Taylor haircut on one tour dented the image a
bit and caused a wee bit of a laugh!

| Recently saw them supported by the Scorpions at the SECC and it took me back. Priest
still sound magic. I had forgotten how much I actually liked them. Only saw them the
once at the Apollo, "Breaking the Law" tour. Halford still sounds as good.
The Priest is back!

| Ahh Priest. Although Quo will always be my favourite Apollo band Priest were
definitely the most polished. Who cares that Rob looked like Tim Brooke Taylor or
that they were sponsored by the leather shops in the Trongate they always put on a
great show. I think they were one of the first metal bands to put on great light
shows and pyrotehnnics. Great memories of the British Steel and Point of Entry tours.
Tipton and Downing were (and still are if you've heard the latest CD) the best metal
guitar duos I saw. Saw Priest at Hammersmith and Edinburgh Odeon but the atmosphere
just wasn't the same as the Apollo. Great nights.

| They were amazing...met them after the show at the Stage door..which was so cool and
got autographs..also got a can of beer, off a couple of roadies that invited my pal
and I on a tour bus!! A little silly we went on for a look around and I did not drink
beer but thought my Mum would like it so took the can for my Mum..the roadie's were
perfrct gentlemen..thank goodness...my Mother was horrified when I handed her the
beer and told her the exciting story of how I got it for her!!!
