This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!
New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

| I had never heard of the Steve Gibbons Band before, but I had bought a ticket to go
and see ted Nughent in 1977, and the Steve Gibbons Band were the support act.
Fantastic band! Surely their best album is Rollin On, what a gem.

| My brother introduced me to SGB with JOHNNY COOL IN 76.From then I was
hooked.
He saw SGB support LYNYRD SKYNYRD.Said they were amazing.I saw them in
78 head-lining at the time of TULANE and they were brilliant. Unfortunately DOWN
IN THE BUNKER album signalled a very different style which wasn't well
accepted. And they disappeared. But caught up with STEVE and his own band in
LONDON 87, and KING TUTS 93. STEVE is the ultimate show-man.The real
mcoy. Steve, as you said to me once in a private corrsepondence ....
LONG
MAY YOU BOP
