This is the place where we will post your stories about the Green's Playhouse, The Glasgow Apollo and Satelitte City (The Wee Apollo). As it develops we will break the stories up into sections such as Myths, Gigs I missed, Meeting the Bands, Where are they now etc. No story too trivial and we will only edit out bad language!
New Forum structure on Apollomemories soon.

| When the Stones played Greens in 1971, the support band The Groundhogs' transport
broke down on the way there, so they did not actually show up. I don't knpw who
thought they played Cherry Red on the set list! A support band was found at the last
minute, a local group called Merlin, who played Stones cover versions prior to the
real Stones coming on. This obviously went down like a lead balloon with the crowd
but I don't think the poor sods could play anything else.

| I think that Merlin used to be The House of Lords who had some success in Scotland in
the 60's and were also regulars at the Marquee Club in London in 68 /69.
